  1. Where is The Virtual Doc available?

    • We are licensed to provide services in Texas but are coming soon to other states!​

  2. What can you treat?

    • Common Cold, Sore Throat, Cough, Constipation, Diarrhea, Fever, Headache, and more. Click Here to see a full list.​

  3. Do you prescribe medication?

    1. Yes our doctors can prescribe medicines to treat infections, allergies, and other conditions.​ However we cannot prescribe narcotics or drugs considered to be controlled substances by the DEA.

  4. How are prescriptions sent to the pharmacy?

    1. The Virtual Doc does not dispense prescription drugs. If the doctor prescribes medication, it is submitted electronically or by phone to the pharmacy of your choice.​

  5. Do you order lab work?

  6. What ages does The Virtual Doc treat?

    1. You must be 18+ to sign up for a visit on your own. We can treat anyone under 18 long as they have a parent or guardian present during the visit. Please note the medical condition of anyone under 18 must still qualify for a virtual visit.

  7. Can the Virtual Doc handle my emergency situation?

    1. The Virtual Doc is designed to handle non-emergent medical problems. You should NOT use it if you are experiencing a medical emergency and instead call 911 immediately.

  8. Do I need an appointment?

    1. While we do offer appointments, you can also choose an "On-Demand Visit" to see the next doctor available. This option puts you in a queue to see the next provider available and notifies you when your visit is about to start.

  9. What if you can't treat my condition?

    • Our doctors review your symptoms based off the questions you answer when booking the appointment. If they determine that they cannot treat you virtually, they will let you know before the visit begins and you will not be charged.

  10. How will the doctor contact me?

    • You can choose to talk to the doctor over the phone or face-to-face via our platform; all you need is a camera phone or webcam.

  11. What happens if I get disconnected during the visit?

    1. If for some reason the call is dropped we will try to return the call immediately. If we are unable to reach you, and we have not concluded the visit, we will reach out with instructions via email to set up a follow up appointment at no cost.

  12. Will I get an after visit summary from the doctor?

    1. After every visit your doctor will type up discharge information and make it available in your account profile. ​This may include a review of symptoms, diagnosis, and recommendations for treatment. Please allow up to 15 minutes for your doctor to process this paperwork and make it available to you.

  13. Can I obtain my medical records from The Virtual Doc?

    1. Yes your records will always be available to you under "My Files" in your account profile. 

  14. How do I add a dependent?

    1. Sign in to your account.

    2. Select "My Account" from the drop down menu under your profile picture in the top right corner.

    3. Click on "Dependent Profiles" from the menu on the left.

    4. Click "Add new profile" on the top right and enter the dependents information, then click save.

  15. How will I know that my virtual visit is private and secure?

    1. The Virtual Doc platform follows all rules and regulations set forth by HIPAA and all information is stored inside our encrypted databases.

  16. Do I talk to "real doctors"?

    1. Yes. The Virtual Doc members will only talk to actual doctors who are U.S. Board-Certified Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Physician Assistant, and Nurse Practitioners licensed to practice medicine in the U.S. and living in the U.S.  When you request a visit, The Virtual Doc will connect you with a doctor licensed in your state.

  17. Why isn't the "see a doctor" link working?

    1. Our virtual service works best in Chrome and Firefox browsers. You can also download our app.

  18. What forms of payment are accepted?

    1. We accept all major credit cards, such as: VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

    2. You may also pay using your HSA or FSA debit card, as long as it has a VISA or MasterCard logo.

  19. Do you accept insurance?

    1. Insurance can be costly and does not guarantee reimbursements or payments of services provided to you and therefore you may end up with a bill on top of your copay. To save you money in the long-run we only accept credit or debit payments. Click here to see information on our affordable membership subscriptions.​

  20. How do you choose your doctors?

    1. All of our providers are highly trained and qualified board-certified, state-licensed physicians and advanced practitioners.  Each provider is credentialed through our extensive pre-employment and on-boarding process including criminal background checks and drug screens.  Our commitment and focus is to provide our patients with the highest quality of care with an overall excellent customer service experience.

  21. Do you offer international visits?

    1. If you are a resident of the U.S. then you can still see a doctor while travelling. However the doctor can only offer advice and cannot prescribe any medication. If you are experiencing an emergency abroad, go to a hospital.
